In recognition of the platform’s incredible growth and performance in the B2B space, Forrester – one of the most influential research and advisory firms in the world – has named Magento a leader in their “The Forrester Wave™: B2B Commerce Suites for Midsize Organizations, Q3 2017” report.
Forrester ranked 11 of the most significant B2B eCommerce platforms in the market, based on a 35-point evaluation and in three major criteria – their current offering, their strategy, and their market share. The report shows how each provider measures up, helping industry professionals in their selection process for B2B commerce platform providers.
The report commends Magento’s high numbers of system integrators and digital agencies who are creating hundreds of extensions for the platform, as well as the community-built integrations that enhance Magento Commerce 2’s ability to offer advanced shopping carts, content management tools, and Apple Pay features.
The Magento platform’s latest release, 2.2, is a cloud-based solution that packages together the most important B2B features as a part of the core, out-of-the-box functionality. Forrester’s report claims the release is a best fit for “B2B companies that want an open, feature-rich solution that they can extend easily and inexpensively by way of a large network of Magento Commerce system integration partners and developers.”
The world’s leading brands use Magento to launch their global commerce operations, and rely on Magento to create customer experiences that distinguish them from competitors. Magento is uniquely positioned to meet the needs of both B2B and B2C merchants, with more than 60% of Magento merchants using the platform to sell to both businesses and direct to consumers.
